Resumo

Este artigo discute teoricamente o papel da Taxa de Câmbio Real (TCR) na integração dos setores de manufatura e serviços modernos. Ele explica como a desindustrialização elevou a importância dos serviços modernos, que são essenciais para a produtividade e a inovação. A relação simbiótica entre ambos os setores é uma força vital que induz mudanças econômicas estruturais pró-crescimento. Demonstramos como a TCR competitiva incentiva ajustes estruturais e investimentos, promovendo a interação entre os setores de manufatura e serviços, particularmente em economias em desenvolvimento, aumentando assim a competitividade global. Em um processo de dois ciclos, uma TCR competitiva inicialmente impulsiona a lucratividade e a competitividade externa, levando ao aumento da automação e colaboração com serviços modernos. Essa interação catalisa "retornos crescentes dinâmicos amplificados de escala", impulsionados por inovações compartilhadas. Com o tempo, à medida que os setores colhem lucros, eles aprofundam sua integração, melhoram os produtos e ampliam o acesso ao mercado. Consequentemente, a TCR promove uma relação simbiótica que é essencial para o desenvolvimento econômico sustentável e a competitividade no comércio internacional.
